Running out of options here, and this is getting ridiculous.Stranded: Alien Dawn suddenly stutters and FPS drops? Well, who will not be annoyed if you’re in the mid-game and you experience this issue? While the developer of Stranded: Alien Dawn has been properly optimizing the game, it seems that your PC is having some performance issues with the game. I still love the game and I always find full lobbies in various game modes. I also realize that Battlefront 2 has had it's support ended. UPDATE: Many months later, the problem still persists. I've been after this problem for an insane amount of time. If I can avoid spending more money just to fix an issue, I'd like to avoid it. Once again, I'm on Origin, not Steam with this game, so the solution could just be to buy it on Steam. Bottleneck? I don't understand why it would work before, then suddenly decide to die out of nowhere. I did notice that my GPU usage is at almost 0% all the time, while the CPU is close to 100% in game. OS = Windows 10 64-bit, 圆4-based processor Graphics Card = Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (With updated drivers 27.) Today I checked my internet speeds and ping. Looked up various video guides and other people's threads with common problems (no "fixes" have worked). Verified game files / Repaired game files Turned off "Share Usage Data" in EA Account Tab (I heard that slows down a ton)Ĭhanged servers with the in-game options.Ĭhanged power settings to max performance, power saver, and balanced. Turning down graphics settings, every option available. Videos of people using the EXACT same setup as me have had great performance of constant 60 FPS. However, i don't hear about anyone else having this problem on PC. Rubber banding seems to partly be the issue, and I know lots of people have blamed it on EA's servers, which, I can totally understand. There are no other processes running in the background, and I have disabled and re-enabled so many different options. What is happening?!Īfter checking Task Manager, the game will consistently use up 100% of the CPU even in the menu. It runs fantastic in Tutorial / Story mode (so I doubt it's the hardware), but once I join a multiplayer match or launch instant action, completely unplayable. About 1.5 seconds in between each stutter. It doesn't matter the map, character, mode, time of day, or the server that I'm on. Then, starting last January, the game will consistently stutter, freeze for about 3 seconds, stop playing sound, stop everything on screen including music (but I can move the camera), or all-together crash. I have over 600 hours in this game, and I have never had a problem with it. Battlefront 2 has been working great from the time I bought it on Origin way back in Nov.
